Bio

Hayford Mensah Ayerakwa is a Senior Research Fellow and the Director of Research at Research Trust Limited. Hayford holds a Master of Philosophy degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Ghana and is scheduled to defend his PhD thesis in May, 2017 in Human Geography from Lund University, Sweden. Hayford has over 10 years research consulting experience in the fields of agriculture, health and education. He has consulted for both local and international organizations including Development Gateway, Harvard University, and the Committee on Sustainability Assessment (COSA) all in the United States of America. Others include Mondelez International (Formerly Cadbury UK), International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) Washington, the World Food Programme (West and Central Africa), Cocoa Life Ghana, Swiss Economic Cooperation (SECO) and Yayra Glover Limited, etc. Over the period 2010 to 2013, Hayford was a consultant on a team based at the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER), University of Ghana that consulted for the Millennium Challenge Account (MCA) and the Millennium Development Authority (MiDA); Ministry of Gender and Social Protection, UNICEF and the World Bank on several projects.
